Just proving what we knew all along, one rule for them another rule for the rest of us

The lockdown was to give the NHS space to prepare and deal with present cases and reduce infection. Now it’s a bit up in the air as some are afraid to return to work, some are desperate to return to work and some normality, the government is keen to get the economy back up and running but wary of doing it too fast and causing it to climb above the R point of which it may lead to a second wave.
I don’t have any issues with what has been done other than it should of been done a little sooner but hindsight is a marvelous thing.
The scientific community has come together to come up with a vacine, while the tech and motorsport industries have come together to make ventilators, etc... to be used in hospital and NightingGale hospitals around the U.K.
Did Mr Cumming MP
screw-up by driving his wife and daughter to Durham after his wife started showing symptoms
, yes.
But he’s said, he did it so he could be around family and have someone to help with his child
while he looked after his wife.
This whole quarantine thing has been hard on everyone and yes, we’ve all screwed up here and there, hell knows I have a few times.
But now everyone is baying for blood for him to resign, while others. One came up from London to Manchester to by and car and then to Carlisle because he saw a car radio listed on eBay, other family were stopped in Cumbria, from the south of England on their way to buy a dog in Scotland, a family came to the Lake District ‘to feed the ducks’, etc... they were given advice, fines or turned away.
Why should this guy be forced to resign, because he knew better!? It was a stupid thing to do, he got caught, he’s learned from it, lets move the hell along.

Otherwise wise known by the maxim:
it is easier to receive forgiveness than it is to seek permission.

People these days look for anything to be offended by so they can show how much better they are than others.
And the person that came up with that image, it’s cough not coff.

Well when you’re the one making the rules you get held to a higher standard. None of those other examples you described were people in the government. At what point are people allowed to criticize?

Didn’t he get reported out and about several other places? If he had just gone to his parents home and isolated I think it would be less of an issue

there are reports of a second trip up north, and given how quickly some tory mp are calling his resignation, $ 20 says those arent’ the only 2 major trips.

1( he isn’t an MP,
2) The trip in March wasn’t good, the trip back to London in early april was bad and rumored trip back to Durham on the 19th was terrible.
If it was one that would be forgiven as he was looking after family, but multiple? If you were concerned you were sick, why would you then travel back to meet with people?

It was one trip up and back, he’s denied any second trip as far as I’m aware.
But given Jeremy Corbyn’s brother, Piers was at a protest denying that there is a virus and it’s all government orchestrated to keep people under the thumb.
It's very pale.

It’s one thing to travel. The part that does t make sense is to return to London. If he didn’t feel well enough to question if he could drive why hear back to meet with others? It does t make sense and with how quick Tory mps called for his resignation after the rumored second trip, part of me wonder if there is more to come out.

Every level of this story gets more absurd the more you think about it. I’m worried about caring for my kid, so let’s get in a cramped car for 4hours with a vivid patient.
I need to test my eyesight if I ca drive, hop in let’s go for a drive
